Classes

Abigail School of Dance offers a variety of dance classes from ballet, modern, jazz and our Abigail Moves series.

Dance classes are available for students ages 5 to adults. Proper dance placement is important; therefore, please select a class that is best suited for your skill level.

For example, if this is your first time dancing, you should select Pre-Ballet. You should have at least two full years of training for Beginning Ballet 1. Also, if you have had some dance training, then modern or jazz would be an appropriate class to select.

Abigail Moves classes are for adults only, new or inexperience dancers who are looking for a rigorous fitness workout.

Classes will begin December 7, 2021 through June 4, 2022 excluding holidays. Classes will only meet 4 days out of the week. Winter classes will restart Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

All classes are virtual through zoom.  Due to internet emergency, class will be canceled. You will be notified via text or by phone.

Attendance/Make up classes: Students who signed up for a dance class after the first week or beyond cannot make up those classes.  In case of an emergency, a request for a make-up class must be submitted by email to abigailschoolofdance@gmail.com or call 313-757-2711 with the information regarding the absence (date and the class you will not be attending). If the make-up class is approved, you will be notified by a staff member.
